Since 1986, Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Louisiana has been dedicated to accomplishing their mission: preventing the abuse and neglect of our state’s children. From help with potty training to keeping kids safe from sexual abuse, PCA Louisiana supports parents and children through intensive, evidence-based programs and community-based education.
LA Parenting Education Network (LAPEN)
The Louisiana Parenting Education Network is an association for parent educators in Louisiana. LAPEN is composed of professionals from differing backgrounds and training who share a common interest in providing quality and effective parenting education.
Parents need just as much guidance and support as youth do. Parents are their children’s first and most important teachers. But sometimes, they need a little extra help dealing with the challenges that arise. They need the opportunity to learn effective parenting strategies, build skills, and discuss their issues with other parents.
