Local CASA supervisor graduates from Loyola University’s Children’s Law and Policy Executive Program

YSB CASA Supervisor, Ashley Gali

National CASA recently announced the 2021 graduates of Loyola University's Children's Law and Policy Executive Program. One of the graduates, Ashley Gali, is the Volunteer Advocate Supervisor at Youth Service Bureau's (YSB) CASA program. YSB serves St. Tammany and Washington Parish with offices in Covington, Slidell, Franklinton, and Bogalusa, Louisiana.

Out of 45 applicants across the US, Ashley and nine other CASA directors and staff members were chosen by the National CASA Association for Children and received a tuition-paid spot in the 2021 Summer-Fall session at the prestigious Children’s Law and Policy Executive Program of Loyola University Chicago School of Law. The participants devoted months of study to learn about child welfare law and policy, study law and the legal system, and build leadership skills in receipt of a certification of completion.

Ashley completed the program online while continuing to work fulltime supervising YSB CASA volunteers in the 22nd Judicial District Court in Covington and being an outstanding mom to her family. Her dedication to learning, professional growth and the pursuit of excellence demonstrates an honorable commitment to serving children and families.

Congratulation to Ashley for this major accomplishment! Her training will be an asset to the children she serves.
